Definitely! Helping others feel their best is a great joy of my career, and to continue doing so, I've made some changes recommended by the CDC, WHO, and the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards. Thank you for helping me, help you! What I've added to protect us:
-Prescreening questions prior to client arrival (see them below)
-Disinfection of all touched surfaces in my office between clients
-Changing scrubs & mask in between clients
-Covered the treatment room chair, massage table and all pillows with a sanitizable cover
-Added a HEPA filter to purify air
-Multiple hand sanitizers available for use
-Avoiding face massage unless discussed beforehand
-Gloves are available upon request
-Contactless payment online https://blissful-massage-therapy.square.site/ or Venmo, either prior to your appointment or just after services have been rendered
-Allowing more time for sanitation between appointments
-Cancelation - Amid the ongoing uncertainty of COVID-19, I have modified my cancellation policy to offer greater flexibility to all my clients. I hope this will alleviate any stress and hesitation you have about an upcoming appointment. If you need to reschedule for whatever reason, and especially if you are not feeling well, I understand and request for you to please contact me as soon as possible to reschedule and open up your spot to someone else. To further support you, there will be no penalties for cancellations.
-Updated my Office Policy to now include a Liability Waiver, so previous clients, please bring this with you to your next appointment
-and most importantly...
Appointment Day Procedure:
Wear a mask at all times while in the building. Please enter with your own mask (cloth or disposable, but not a single layered gaiter), or one will be provided for you. The mask protocol is consistent with the CDC’s recommendation to the general public advising them to wear a cloth face covering whenever they must leave their home.
Arrival - Text 864-386-1918 once you’ve parked, and if you arrive early and need to use the restroom, please don your mask and head on in to do so! I’d prefer my clients not use the waiting areas inside until further notice.
Entry - Enter the building masked, and enter my office. I’ll take your temperature with a no-touch forehead thermometer. If it reads above 99 degrees, we’ll reschedule your session with no penalty. (Forehead thermometers read .5 to 1 degree below true body temperature.) We may liberally and completely apply hand sanitizer while chatting prior to beginning the massage. Hand Hygiene Guidelines from the WHO
Mask during massage - When face down on the table (prone), a pillowcase will act as a large hammock-type pocket under your face for some aerosol droplet protection and breathability. Before you turn over (supine), I’ll return your mask to you to wear for the duration of your stay.
Within 14 days after your appointment, you will notify me of any changes in your health regarding COVID-19.
-Call or text 864-386-1918 and leave a message indicating your preferred appointment time(s)
(I am my own receptionist and will get back to you ASAP within normal business hours)
-Message me on Facebook: Go to my Blissful Massage Therapy Facebook Page and click the Send Message button

Typical schedule below, subject to change or slight differences:
What do you have available ASAP??
Current available appointment times are usually pinned to the top of my Facebook page
Please allow at least 48 hours advance notice to reschedule or cancel. Cancellations in less than 24 hours are subject to a $35 cancellation fee, and within 4 hours and “no shows” will be responsible for the full value of the scheduled appointment. These rules also apply to Gift Certificates. ***Amid the ongoing uncertainty of COVID-19, I have modified my cancellation policy to offer greater flexibility to all my clients. If you need to reschedule for whatever reason, and especially if you are not feeling well, I understand and request for you to please contact me as soon as possible to reschedule and open up your spot to someone else. Save time by bringing your Client Forms with you (or if you don't have a printer, add another 10 minutes to your visit and I'll bring the forms out to you).
Prior to COVID-19:
After discussing your health history, current need for massage, and any painful areas of concern we will create a personalized session tailored just for your body. Then you will be given a few minutes of privacy and peace to undress to your level of comfort before laying on the massage table. (You may undress completely or leave your underwear on if that helps you to completely relax). You will be draped in sheets and a blanket for the duration of the session. Take a few breaths to settle in and Natalie will knock before entering the room again. Once the massage begins feel free to openly communicate if you would like to change the pressure, temperature, music, or have a drink of water. This is your time to relax, so be comfortable and content!
As of reopening June 2020:
Please refer to Appointment Day Procedure above.
What if I'm running late?
Uh oh! Please give a courtesy call or text as soon as you know. Late arrivals are not granted extensions, and will receive the remainder of their scheduled session and full session price will be due.
Actually, yes. If you are suffering from sunburn, severe burns, poison ivy, or any other form of widespread skin rash/irritation, please refrain from booking a session or call to reschedule your appointment within 24 to 48 hours. Also, if you've suffered from an injury within the past 36-72 hours, it may be best to reduce the inflammation first or seek medical help. Lastly, if you are currently ill or are even 'starting to feel better today' after an extended illness, just wait a little longer before receiving a massage (massage promotes healthy immune function by improving lymphatic circulation but this may make an ill person feel worse).
Addendum June 2020: So, COVID-19 is cramping our style for sure, but let's do the right thing. These prescreening questions will be presented to you as part of your appointment setup, as well as at your appointment reminder. Please answer honestly. If the answer is Yes to 1-4, let’s reschedule and there won’t be any cancelation fees. Also, if your answer(s) changed between the time you told me & your appointment time, let me know ASAP.
Contactless payment is available by going to https://blissful-massage-therapy.square.site/ to pay in advance or immediately afterwards.
Other acceptable forms of payment are Cash or Check (after the first appointment, I've been burned too many times) which you can put in the unsealed envelope provided for you, or Apple Pay, Venmo, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express via Square. Payment is due once services have been rendered. Be ready to provide a valid Driver’s License for identification. Returned checks are subject to a $25 fee. There are no refunds once services have been rendered.
Although not expected, gratuities are gratefully accepted at your discretion and are often 10% to 20%.
Do you perform erotic massage?
No. Never. Move along. Blissful Massage Therapy LLC with Natalie Dingledine provides only non-sensual, professional massage. Any act of sexual misconduct or harassment by the client will immediately terminate the session, and full payment will be due. BMT has the right to refuse clients from booking or rescheduling.
